The following resolution passed unanimously, with a total of 14 votes in favor and no abstentions. ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 22/WG 9 N600 14 June 2019 This is a WG 9 email ballot for Resolution 76-3, regarding a requested delay in publication of the Ada language standard. Whereas: * WG 9 believes that the next Ada standard should incorporate lightweight parallelism features * WG 9 recognizes that the proposed lightweight parallelism features of the next Ada standard would benefit from prototyping to validate the model * WG 9 also recognizes that the next Ada standard should be produced in accordance with the ISO 10-year revision cycle Therefore, WG 9 directs the Ada Rapporteur Group (ARG) as follows: * The ARG will welcome further comments on the new features (focused on the parallelism features) incorporated within the current draft of the Ada 202X standard, based on prototyping and review, for a period of one year, ending 1-June-2020. * The ARG will continue to process these comments and have a target of 1-June-2021 to produce a new draft of the Ada 202X standard incorporating whatever changes are produced in response to these new comments. Closing date: 28 June 2019 You should respond to wg9@ada-auth.org by the closing date above with a vote of Yes, No, or Abstain. If you vote No, please provide a reason.
